Oh, the sneaky joys of a good music festival! The smoky violet leaf sharpness of cologne shifting through the night air like a zephyr, a half-eaten red apple abandoned and crushed underfoot, the exciting, forbidden smell of cannabis….if it’s true that scent has the power to shortcut our brains to happier times, then be careful with Music Festival: one sniff and you’ll be dancing to yourself, eyes closed, in the middle of the train or the office.
Rugged, smoky tobacco and sativa takes up the reins in the heart, but the addition of the crunchy red apple note and the sharp violet leaf keeps the ganja-tobacco accord brisk and airy. This is a cool, aromatic, leafy tobacco rather than an overly sweetened one. Patchouli joins the tobacco, adding a hippy-ish earthiness that slots right in with the theme. The drydown is wonderful, full of green, outdoorsy woods and worn leather. One imagines the festival at the end of the night, the air suddenly cold and clean, and snuggling into the leather jacket of someone you really fancy.
